The Safe Sippy™ stainless steel drink cup was created in response to the growing body of emerging scientific evidence about the dangers of toxic chemicals used to make many plastics. Stainless steel was chosen because it is clean, stable and durable. Because stainless steel is stable and inert, it does not interact with the foods and fluids it comes into contact with.
The Safe Sippy stainless steel drinking cup keeps contact between water and plastic to a minimum, and all plastics are certified free of Bisphenol A, phthalates and DEHA. Extensive independent laboratory testing is performed on these cups to make sure they are free of these chemicals. The cap is made out of Polypropylene, #5 plastic. PP is the most stable of all plastics.

Studies show the straw shaped spout is better for developing little mouths. There is a no leak silicone valve inside. When the kids suck the liquid comes out and when they don't, it won't.
The lid is made a bit larger to protect the cup when dropped from denting. The inner sleeve is made from #5 plastic and is Bisphenol A (BPA) free.
The tapered waist helps little hands to hold the cup after the handles are removed
The Thermoplastic Rubber Sleeve acts as an insulator for cold liquid on hot days.
The nubby handles help little slippery hands hold on better and they are removeable.
